1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit our website. We also use similar technologies that are not cookies but do store or read data on your device:

• Pixels and scripts: small pieces of third-party code used, for example, to measure whether an ad led to a visit.
• Local storage: storage space in your browser where a website keeps data, for example to remember a chat conversation.

Where this statement says “cookies”, it also means these similar technologies. The same rules apply to placing and reading them.

2. What types of cookies do we use?

We distinguish four categories. Only the first category is placed without your consent.

Necessary cookies — The website does not work without these cookies. They ensure, for example, that you stay logged in, that forms work and that your cookie choice is remembered. No consent is needed, as they are strictly necessary for a service you requested. You cannot switch them off.

Preference cookies — These cookies remember choices you make, such as your language or a search you entered. They are not strictly necessary, so we ask for your consent.

Analytics cookies — These measure how the website is used: which pages are viewed, how visitors navigate and where they get stuck. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for this. Clarity also records mouse movements, scrolling and clicks in a recording of your visit. Because this data goes to parties outside our company and covers more than visitor numbers, we only place these cookies with your consent.

Marketing and tracking cookies — These track your behaviour to measure and target ads, and to recognise which company is visiting our website. We use the Meta Pixel and Leadinfo for this. We only place these cookies with your explicit consent.

The Futy chatbot does not place a cookie, but does store data in your browser’s local storage so your conversation can continue. That part is necessary for the chat to work. We also use the chat to follow up on contact requests; any data you enter in the chat is processed as described in our privacy statement.

3. Which cookies do we place exactly?

Below are the cookies that may be placed on our website. An asterisk means the name varies per visitor or measuring point.

Third-party retention periods are the standard periods these parties use; they may change them.

4. Third parties and transfers outside the EEA

Some cookies are placed by other companies. They process the data under their own terms and privacy policies:

Google, Microsoft and Meta may transfer data to the United States. Such transfers take place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which these parties are certified, supplemented by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Leadinfo and Futy process data within the European Economic Area.

We have concluded data processing agreements with these parties insofar as they act as processors on our behalf. We have no control over what they do with the data beyond that; please read their privacy policies.

5. Giving, changing and withdrawing consent

On your first visit, we show a cookie banner where you can choose which categories of cookies you allow. Only necessary cookies cannot be switched off, as the website does not work without them.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting our website’s cookies in your browser, as described in section 6. We will ask for your choice again on your next visit. Withdrawal applies from that moment; cookies placed before remain until you delete them.

We ask for your choice again when we start using new cookies, and in any case every year.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also delete or block cookies yourself in your browser. Please note that our website may then not work properly, as necessary cookies will be blocked too.
